Following a weather delay from a stormy wet and windy evening in late August, Robert Williams, Damian Pons, David Barrett and Alan Botfield were greeted with glorious blue skies and 30 degree temperatures.
As a result of recent weather, the course at Kikuoka had required essential maintenance, most notably coring and sanding of the greens…which didn’t impact the scoring.
David (winner of the lesson from 2022) was vastly improved opening up with a par and his straight hitting resulted in 16 points, just a couple of very costly shots !!!
Robbie Williams was truly dashing in his tartan trousers which resulted in a generous 2ft gimme for being so well dressed as he finished strongly for a respectable 13 points (only his fourth outing of the year).
Damian was Mr Steady all the way round, but found trouble in the rough on 4th and struggled up the 6th – the putt on the 9th was truly memorable bringing his total to SEVENTEEN points…
Fabulous evening, very enjoyable company and the golf was rounded off with some refreshments on the terrace as darkness descended….
