Thanks Joost!<\/p>\n<p>With all the subtle niceties completed\u2026.the sledging began.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ADDITIONAL MANLY COMPETITIVE CHALLENGES<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The non cricketers took on the two Luxembourg resident professionals\u2026in what was a quickly forgotten match with pride at stake.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ONTO THE REDBRIDGE ROUND 2<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Will hit a \u201cSIX\u201d to the off boundary to start his day\u2026splashing into the pond on the 9<sup>th<\/sup>\u2026Joost hid his ball in the long grass (where it remains). Damian, perhaps unsure of the rules, lost his ball on his third shot. After the first hole, I reminded everyone that Tim started his round with a scratch, so they shouldn\u2019t be disheartened to be 22 pts behind with 8 holes to go\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Then some impressive golf was played\u2026Wills booming drives shooting 1 over par for the last 8 holes. Damian capping off a good late run with a magnificent birdie on the 6<sup>th<\/sup> and excellent pars on the tough 5<sup>th<\/sup> and 8<sup>th<\/sup>. Joost had a few bad bounces but was steady pars\/bogeys mostly\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Impressive shots of the evening\u2026.Joost winning the Crement for the Nearest to the Pin (great shot), Damian hitting a great third shot from the fairway bunker on 6 setting up the birdie\u2026Will, needing a par on the last to tie with Tim van Dijk, hitting his tee shot into the penalty area, then hit his third shot to three feet\u2026.and he made his par. <strong>Well played Will &amp; Will played Well.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Cricketers won the Pride match\u2026<\/p>\n<p><strong>POST MATCH EVENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We saw an awful lot of long grass in the 9 holes, we deserved the refreshments at the end and managed to share a few jovial stories about our years in Luxembourg and what we have observed.
